A standout pub in Wimborne
Just a few yards from Wimborne’s bustling centre, The Olive Branch pub serves up delicious meals in our handsome dining room, refreshing drinks at our bar, and relaxation in our beautiful riverside garden. With live music on Friday nights and a DJ set the last Saturday of the month, we’re a local hotspot for great evenings out. Hoping to stay longer? Our sister pub 1777 offers en-suite accommodation just a two minute walk away. We’re proudly dog-friendly too, offering a warm welcome to four-legged as well as two-legged guests.

Our chefs work with seasonal ingredients to reinvigorate traditional pub food, offering familiar favourites alongside imaginative fine dining dishes. Take a seat on the long benches in our Pantry for relaxed family meals or light lunches. Find a spot in our handsome dining room for memorable special occasions or intimate dinners for two. Or dine by the riverside in our beautiful pub garden.
Christmas at The Olive Branch
Make your yuletide extra merry by booking a festive meal with us. Our wonderfully cosy pub restaurant will be decked out for the season, while our menu serves up all your Christmas and New Year favourites.
Just make sure you book in advance, because tables will get snapped up faster than mince pies on Christmas Eve.
Our coffees
You’re guaranteed a decent brew at The Olive Branch, because we take making coffee just as seriously as we take pouring the perfect pint. Our ‘Rocket Espresso’ is a 100% Arabica blend from our friends at Extract Coffee Roasters, who work with a co-operative project benefiting families in Peru.
Our beers
Drink in the taste of the Dorset countryside by sampling our Badger beers, which were first brewed by local farmer Charles Hall in 1777. Created from hops, malted barley, and pure spring water that’s naturally filtered through the chalk downs of Dorset, they’re a firm favourite. At The Olive Branch, we offer a full, distinctive and delicious range, including our new Outland beers, which are imaginatively flavoured, and far from ordinary.
